About Jon Chattman

Jon Chattman has enjoyed a Reuben sandwich with Randy “Macho Man” Savage, somehow ignited Snoop Dogg to sing Dean Martin’s “That’s Amore,” and stumped Meryl Streep with a question about surviving a zombie apocalpyse. These are just some hightlights in this writer/author, marketing expert, online host, talent buyer, and man-of-many-hats career. He has an extensive background in the entertainment field, specializing in interviewing and writing about those in music, film and the television world.

Chattman has authored many pop culture, sports, and wrestling books including Moving Foreword: Real Introductions to Totally Made-Up Books (BenBella Books), How the Red Sox Explain New England (Triumph Books), Superfly: The Jimmy Snuka Story (Triumph Books), A Battle Royal in the Sky (Pitch Publishing), I Love the Red Sox….(Triumph Books), and Sweet ‘Stache (Adams Media).

He’s appeared on/in various publications and outlets supporting his projects including the Opie & Anthony Show, the NY Daily News, the NY Post, the Chicago Sun-Times and The Howard Stern Show.

Chattman has covered various red carpets from the Oscars and the Indie Spirit Awards to the Tony Awards. He’s interviewed an eclectic mix of talent including Meryl Streep, Hulk Hogan, Courtney Love, Moneybagg Yo, Dwyane Wade, Tracy Morgan, Eli Manning, Javier Bardem, Aaron Sorkin, The 1975, Alice Cooper, and Marcus Stroman. In August 2011, he launched an online music and entertainment series A-Sides which features musicians performing a song or two and taking part in an information conversation afterwords. The series has appeared on Huffington Post, Inked Magazine, and USA Today. Artists who have appeared on the series include Imagine Dragons, Gary Clark Jr., Joe Perry, Bastille, Duran Duran, Elle King, Larkin Poe, Frank Turner, Kevin Costner, Jimmy Eat World, Lucy Dacus, Letters to Cleo, and Melissa Etheridge.

Chattman has written for many outlets throughout the years including the NY Post, Inked Magazine, TV Guide, and Wizard. He also created the entertainment site thecheappop, and blogs for The Capitol Theatre.

Chattman is a talent booker and buyer and produces events for non-profits. He was selected as one of the “Rising Stars” by The Business Council of Westchester. He is currently founder and chief creative officer of Moving Forward Connections (movingforwardpr.com), a small social media and marketing firm and event and talent building firm. He lives in Westchester County with his family.
